Information - Rules and Regulations

New 2019 Track Rule:

Full racing attire....no jeans or running shoes...must wear snowmobile suit and footwear

Teather cords....all pro classes must have one

Teching...If official ask to tech you ...you must comply or automatic disqualified

General Rules:

Upon registering you’re agreeing to random safety and compliance inspections by the NBSSR Race Director(s). Additionally, If you suspect a competitor is not following rules you MUST notify the Race Director ASAP before the race ends (Not after the race). The suspected infraction will be investigated and if an engine teardown is required the accuser must supply $150 CAD to cover related gaskets. If the suspected racer is legal the money is awarded to replace gaskets. The Race Director has the final decision regarding rule infractions and disqualifications may result in loss of awards, payouts, and door prizes. Lastly, the NBSSR Race Director is NOT responsible for compensating competitors if a engine teardown is deemed needed.

Trail Classes have been created to give the trail rider and entry level racer a place to race. Trail riders can drive to the track and race without competing against non-trail sleds. This makes a more level playing field for all. After all, not everybody has the time and money to have a race sled. Trail Classes are a more economical way to race and have fun, our goal is to keep the speed off the trails. See the rules below for specific information.

Pro Classes are for the experienced racer who wants to get the most out of their machine. All racers are required to wear an approved full face helmet and safety vest. All machines need be equipped with an engine shutoff tether cord and should be used whenever the engine is running. Additionally, all sleds running speeds over 150MPH must have a functional speed removing device (parachute). See the rules below for specific information.
